Sets up and, where required, operates correctly the equipment (Strand Jack and Skid Shoes) in compliance with the safety rules and according to the operating instructions;
Responsible for monitoring the daily progress of construction site activities complying with the schedule and for reporting to the Site Manager/Project Manager the progress of the work and any critical issue in terms of personnel, equipment, operations involving customers and suppliers;
Must be capable to understand the technical drawings even during design phase;
Able to verify the correct equipment assembly and disassembly on site;
Able to fix any equipment problem and/or failure and to maintain correctly site equipment;
Must monitor the status and quantity of equipment spare parts that can affect the progress of operations; in case of lack of spare parts or equipment failure, must immediately report to the Site Manager/Project Manager to start the proper procedure to return the equipment to its working conditions;
Lead and direct the operation team, assigning the daily tasks, preparing the timesheet, monitoring operators performance and competence and compliance with site rules and procedures;
Lead and direct the externals providers, where required;
Assist client representatives if they need clarifications on the operations, accordingly to Site Manager/Project Manager;
Provide support to other departments such as Engineering to assist in the design phase (i.e. site/road survey)
Abide, and make sure operators do the same, on safety rules and procedure stopping any operation upon receiving any report on defect or malfunction of safety device of the equipment or on an unsafe act, thereafter reporting to the Site Manager/Project Manager accordingly
